In August 2018, CMB Erectors was called upon to repair a 7,000 sq. ft. screw-down roof for Oakwood Farm, a busy cash crop operation in Lindsay, Ontario. After a powerful spring storm tore off more than half of the original roof, the remaining structure was deemed beyond repair. The task was complex—not only due to summer heat and limited working space, but also because the client needed to maintain access to half of the building during the project.
Working alongside Seagrave Building Systems and with materials supplied by Exsteel, CMB removed the damaged roofing, 8” spray foam insulation, and compromised structural steel. We replaced it with a new roof system featuring 6” MBI insulation and screw-down galvanized sheeting. Custom modifications addressed site-specific challenges, including low eaves, elevation changes, and water ponding.
Additional repairs included exterior cladding, a storm-resistant gutter system, and a custom steel column to reinforce the existing bi-fold door—restoring full functionality and long-term durability.
