In 2017/2018, CMB Erectors took on a critical structural remediation project for Kemira Water Solutions in Brantford, Ontario. The task: address a 100-foot structurally deficient wall within an active industrial facility—without disrupting ongoing operations. With hazardous materials onsite and no machine access available, this project required precision, planning, and creative execution.

Working closely with Paulsan Construction and Kemira’s in-house team, we developed a strategy that prioritised both safety and efficiency. Custom false work platforms were installed to support the erection process, while marine-grade epoxy coatings protected all structural steel members. Every bolt and fastener used was galvanized, and both 24-gauge and 22-gauge cladding systems were installed to reinforce and protect the building envelope.

Despite the tight 30-day timeline and complex working conditions, the project was completed two days ahead of schedule and within budget—delivering long-term structural security with zero operational downtime. It remains a strong example of CMB Erectors’ adaptability and commitment to problem-solving under pressure.
