Trailer Manufacturing Facility
In 2019, CMB Erectors Inc. completed a significant project for Summit Trailers Ltd., a growing trailer manufacturer in Spruce Grove, Alberta. They constructed a 30,000 sq. ft. Nucor pre-engineered facility designed to boost production capacity and streamline operations.
The building features a dual-slope roof with a standing seam system and an SB10 cavity-filled insulation package, ensuring both structural integrity and energy efficiency. Inside, a bright white Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) wall system creates a clean and well-lit workspace.
Key elements of the design include an overhead crane to facilitate manufacturing and a covered outdoor bay for storing non-critical materials. This maximises indoor floor space while protecting outdoor storage from the elements.
This project, executed by CMB’s Alberta team, exemplifies how thoughtful design and precise construction can meet the evolving demands of Canada’s manufacturing sector.
