Trailer Fabrication Shop

In August 2016, CMB Erectors undertook a 4,000 sq. ft. addition for Mobile Kitchens Canada in Kingston, Ontario. This project involved expanding an existing trailer fabrication facility, presenting unique challenges such as aligning the new structure’s slope with the existing building and ensuring waterproofing where the overhang beams intersected the wall. To address these issues, we fabricated custom beam caps to seal the voids, effectively resolving the wall penetration concerns. The addition featured a single-slope design with a screw-down roof, a 6-foot material storage overhang, a 12’ x 14’ overhead door, and a full-height liner package. A custom wall-to-roof transition was also implemented to ensure structural integrity. Inside, a bright white full-height liner package was installed to enhance light reflection, creating an optimal workspace for the fabrication crews.

This project exemplifies CMB Erectors’ expertise in delivering tailored pre-engineered building solutions. Collaborating with suppliers like Robertson Buildings and contractors such as Mobile Kitchens Canada, we offer services that include unlimited design adaptations, rapid construction timelines, and compliance with energy codes like NECB 2020 and SB10.
