Facility Expansion

In October 2019, CMB Erectors Inc. played a pivotal role in Cargill Meat Processing’s expansion in Strathroy, Ontario. Facing increased demand, Cargill needed to quickly add to its operational space.

CMB was contracted for the rapid erection of the primary and secondary steel structures for an 11,000 sq. ft. Nucor pre-engineered building. This project was unique because the new construction wrapped around two sides of the existing facility. This maximised space efficiency while allowing operations to continue without interruption.

Working closely with general contractor Agri Urban Design Build and steel supplier Nucor, CMB focused solely on steel erection. This ensured structural integrity and adherence to a tight deadline. The result was a seamless extension that now provides expanded manufacturing and warehousing capacity, helping Cargill meet its growing production needs.

This project highlights CMB’s ability to deliver complex industrial builds with precision, speed, and collaborative coordination, consistently meeting deadlines and project requirements.
