CMB Was contacted to complete the installation of a structure for the Air Canada cargo terminal at Trudeau Int’l Airport to help facilitate their ever expanding air cargo operation. This building was initially slated to be a fabric sheathed building but a decision was made by the clients management to return to a conventional approach to envelope their building. This change to the project created a need for a custom purlin and girt package required to carry the heavier cladding and roofing option chosen by the client. CMB contributed to the design and installation of the custom secondary and trim package. Once installation of the custom material was complete CMB continued its scope by completing installation of the newly ordered cladding and custom trim package. 3 Fabric quick lift doors were installed on the east end of the building to allow quick access for the numerous vehicles tasked with moving the cargo in and out of the main facility to be loaded onto waiting airplanes. This project was completed on budget and was commissioned for operation in late July 2018.
